Credit Cards
Credit cards are good to use when you are on control of using them. Usually you would get credit card along with your current account or you could apply for a credit separately.
When you shop using your credit card you might get your statement in 3 to four weeks with the last day to pay your statement without interest. If you don’t pay your balance you will have to pay interest on your balance. Usually you would get 40 days time from the date of purchase and the last date of paying the statement. So it is good using credit cards as you will have 40 days of liquidity if you are in control of your finance.
Usually there will be a limit on maximum amount you could spend using your credit card, if you cross your limit you will be charged with a penalty usually. So know your limit and try not to cross your limit while you shop.
There are few credit cards in UK who will provide points or air miles for using their credit cards, that is you will get 1 or 2 points for every pound you spend with your credit card. Later on you could use these points as vouchers or redeem them with the money. Shop around credit card providers for better credit card benefits.
